Ian Hall, chief operating officer, TALKINGplug Inc., http://www.talkingplug.com, Toronto, Ont., explained to show host Peggy Smedley how his company’s devices can help customers cut costs by identifying the appliances in their home wasting the most energy.
The device, the TALKINGplug, which plugs to the top of an ordinary electrical outlet, can monitor the amount of energy being used by any device plugged into it and wirelessly transmits the data to ZEROmeter, a software application which enables users to analyze the data and modify their consumption patterns.
